New Natural Curly Hair Routine for SHORT HAIR! (It's cheap too!)

Hey everybody!! How you been? I have not updated in a while because school is taking up most of my time. But no worries, I'm back :) I took out my box braids about two weeks ago, then straightened out my hair. So a wash was DEFINITELY calling my name. I tried out some products, one that I brought recently and it's safe to say that I'm in love. So here are my steps.
Products: Olive Oil Sheen Spray, Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil Styling Gel, Olive Oil Edge Control, Afro Pick.

1. Make sure that you start off with clean & washed hair. It is your choice to use shampoo or not. For me, I shampoo about once a month. Any other time I just co-wash with any conditioner.
2. While you hair is slightly damp, apply an ALCOHOL FREE gel. This is VERY important. Using one with alcohol will just dry up your hair and make it super crunchy. Boo. Apply the gel all over your hair. Make sure to scrunch and get in those hard to reach areas. The gel that I use is the Eco Styler Morrocan Argan Oil Styling Gel. You can find this at any beauty supply store. (Review coming soon)
3. (Optional) Slick down your edges using any edge control of any kind. I use Olive Oil Edge Control. (Make sure it's alcohol free)
4. (Optional) Add your favorite hair accessory. I just use a regular black headband for a sleek look.
5. If your the person that likes extra volume with your hair this is the perfect touch. I learned this on Youtube. Take your afro pick or teaser comb and lift your roots. This will make your hair look voluminous, nice, and healthy.

6. The last step is to add a little shine. I blast about two sprays of my olive oil sheen spray and I'm good to go.

The pics below were taken around 10 p.m. I did my routine around 2 p.m. the same day.

I LOVE the way it looks here!
