Oh *Happy* Sunday! :D

Hey lovelies!!! How you doing *Wendy Williams voice* It's been a loong week with report cards, ptc, half days, so much. Did you guys hear about Hurricane Sandy though? They even cancelled school just in case it gets really bad. I have my bottled water, and I'm charging my Ipod & phone just in case it gets CRAZY. Outside is just windy, gray, and depressing, so I started playing with some of my makeup. One goal of mine is to get better at winged eyeliner. I want to be able to do thin line, fat line, cat line lol all of that. So the makeup I am wearing is
FACE: Mac Concealer, Elf Mineral Concealer
EYES: LA COLORS PENCIL (bronze shimmer), Elf Cream Eyeliner
LIPS: Wet N Wild Spotlight Red ( FIRST RED LIP I TRIED AND CAN I SAY WIN?!?!?!)

Well that is pretty much it for today.. Outfits coming soon!!
Until next time... MUAH!!

Jam Sessions on Friday Nights? YASS! (My Gospel Edition)

Hey loveliess!!! How was your day today? Mines went by good beside cramps in my stomach >.<

Well it's a Friday night and tomorrow is church. So I'm trying to get an outfit together, because I could never be on time to save my life. I'm also trying out this new hairstyle, so if it comes out well, expect a tutorial coming up :)

Right now I'm jamming on Pandora to my gospel music. So many things go on every week, and it feels so good to just relax at the end of the week & praise God. Ain't nothing better. Here are some songs that I am loving right now. Listen to some!! I promise you will love them :D

1) Friend of God- Israel and the New Breed2) He Won't Leave You- Richard Smallwood3) Worthy is the Lamb- Hillsong4) I Survive- Mary Mary5) Total Praise- Richard Smallwood6) Lord Prepare Me- West Angeles Cogic Mass Choir7) I Need You Now- Smokie Norful8) Center of My Joy- Richard Smallwood9) How Excellent (Psalm 8)- Richard Smallwood10) For Every Mountain- Amber Bullock Version11) Thank You Lord- Walter Hawkins

Some of these songs are my all time time favorite and I SING my heart out when I hear them in the shower haha. I hope you guys enjoy this!!

October 2012 Length Check (Natural Hair)

Hey lovelies!! How was your day today? My ultimate natural hair goal is for my hair to be naturally curly at shoulder length. *dreams away happily* My weakness, however, is the beautiful flat iron. I acknowledge the fact that I do have a problem with the flat iron (the first step is admitting it), but how could I not? We have so much history together! My flat iron and I confessed our love for each other...
LOL okay. That was too much fun. Back to the topic. I just took some pictures of my hair stretched. One thing that I wish I did was measure but I was not thinking at the time. I will definitely do it for the November 2012 Length Check. Here are some pics:

The brown is my natural hair color growing out. The red/brown is from hair dye *sigh*

Well until next time... Muah!!

My STRUGGLE for the perfect foundation :(

Hey Lovelies!! How was your day today?

You know what? I'm so tired of my makeup melting off my face by the end of the day! As you know, I have an issue with dark spots. My darkest acne scars are on my right cheek. So I figured in the morning that I will apply my regular foundation (Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in either 210 or 220) then I take a little more and put it on my cheeks so it could look decent. I then set it with some Fashion Fair Translucent Topaz powder that I have. It's all fine at first, but I don't know where.in.the.day. it starts to melt. Then at the end of the day all my spots show :( *sigh*

I always felt that I had bad luck with makeup recently just like my phones. Whyyyyy meeeeeeeee.

I don't know what to do. Do you guys have any suggestions for foundations that are affordable but good coverage? Please tell me POR FAVOR!!! Lol. I already know the powder I want to get which is the Ben Nye Translucent Powder. I heard so much good reviews on it.

Well this was my mini rant. I hope you enjoyed it even though it was mostly depressing haha.

Natural Hairstyle: My Totally Twisted Twist Out!!

Hey lovelies!! How are you today? During the past two weeks, I have been rocking the twist out. It was actually an accidental style for me, because this was the first time it came out right! This style is so easy but so cute!
Here are the steps that used to achieve my Totally Twisted Twist Out
(Also I have on no makeup so please excuse my struggling face scars and my desire to try on red lipstick lol)

1) Start off with freshly washed, dried hair. This was the same day I did my I did my Natural Curly Hair Routine.

2) Start doing a two strand twist. Personally, I do not section off with a comb. I usually take a medium size chunk of hair throughout my whole head.

This is when I was halfway done :)

Fully done
                                                                             Front view
                                                                              The back

                             3) When everything is finished, I spray some Olive Oil Sheen Spray to lock in some moisture for when I sleep.

4) I put on my head tie so that the braids don't unloosen while I sleep.

The next morning: I just untwisted them carefully and tried not to puff them out too much. I also used my afro pick so my roots would lift.

 THE FINAL RESULTS!! :)

I was so excited with the final result. Every one in school kept asking me if it was my real hair O__o , but they did say that they liked it.

Well that's it for today. I hope you guys enjoyed this ^.^ Until next time guys.. Muah!!!

Outfit Of The Day: A Not So Gloomy Tuesday.

Hey beauties!! How was your day today? This morning the weather was so nasty *.*. It was kind of gloomy during half the day, not to mention cold. Then all of a sudden as soon as I left school, the sun came out of nowhere and warmed up the place! That was the highlight of my whole day. Today's outfit was very simple. I wanted to keep it a black and white kind of day.

New Natural Curly Hair Routine for SHORT HAIR! (It's cheap too!)

Hey everybody!! How you been? I have not updated in a while because school is taking up most of my time. But no worries, I'm back :) I took out my box braids about two weeks ago, then straightened out my hair. So a wash was DEFINITELY calling my name. I tried out some products, one that I brought recently and it's safe to say that I'm in love. So here are my steps.
Products: Olive Oil Sheen Spray, Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil Styling Gel, Olive Oil Edge Control, Afro Pick.

1. Make sure that you start off with clean & washed hair. It is your choice to use shampoo or not. For me, I shampoo about once a month. Any other time I just co-wash with any conditioner.
2. While you hair is slightly damp, apply an ALCOHOL FREE gel. This is VERY important. Using one with alcohol will just dry up your hair and make it super crunchy. Boo. Apply the gel all over your hair. Make sure to scrunch and get in those hard to reach areas. The gel that I use is the Eco Styler Morrocan Argan Oil Styling Gel. You can find this at any beauty supply store. (Review coming soon)
3. (Optional) Slick down your edges using any edge control of any kind. I use Olive Oil Edge Control. (Make sure it's alcohol free)
4. (Optional) Add your favorite hair accessory. I just use a regular black headband for a sleek look.
5. If your the person that likes extra volume with your hair this is the perfect touch. I learned this on Youtube. Take your afro pick or teaser comb and lift your roots. This will make your hair look voluminous, nice, and healthy.

6. The last step is to add a little shine. I blast about two sprays of my olive oil sheen spray and I'm good to go.

The pics below were taken around 10 p.m. I did my routine around 2 p.m. the same day.

I LOVE the way it looks here!

This hair routine is so easy, cheap, and will last all day. Loving it!

Let's Talk...Mac Concealer's.

M.A.C. Concealer's. I only have three out of the five available. Which are Studio Finish Concealer SPF 30, Pro Longwear Concealer, and Select Cover Up. I am in the shade NC 30 Which ones are hits and misses in my book?? Let's dig in to find out.

Original Packaging for Studio Finish, Pro Longwear, Select Cover-Up
Looking fab from the outside. Eh?

1) First Stop, Select Cover Up: This was my FIRST EVER M.A.C. product. And boy was I excited (wasn't so excited about the price at first). This product is 10 ML. Don't be fooled my the size though. It holds a lot in that little container. It is supposed to be a liquid camouflage for the skin e.g. cover up dark spots, even out skin tone, make your face look flawless. Do I agree? Yes and No. Yes to the even out skin tone. If you are the type to have red spots on your face, this will cover it perfectly. I get a little red here and there as soon as I come out the shower. Dab some on there, and I'm good to go.. except one thing I have dark spots. *cue the scary music* Most of my dark scarring is on my cheek, but those are fresh scars. Putting that on made me look like I have on a very sheer concealer. I tried using brushes, fingers, it just did not work :(. Many light scars that I have, the concealer did cover it. However, I did finish all of this product so that was good. Another thing, this tends to get a little greasy so make sure you set with a translucent powder.
All in All: Would I purchase this again? Yes. Simply because this did cover my red spots and light
scarring. Hopefully my cheek scarring will go away so I can enjoy it more :) The only problem that I have is I need a better way to apply it. What do you do?

2) Second Stop, Studio Finish Concealer: This is my most recent purchase. I actually did a little research on this one before I brought it. Let me tell you. I got sold right away. I purchased it online (the lady gave me free shipping & she was really nice) and she explained to me how its non-acnegenic(does not break you out), waterproof(which is true!), fragrance free, lightweight, and most importantly cover up ALL scarring. This is where I stop this happy train. First off, as soon as I put it on my cheeks it felt very greasy and it did not cover as much as I expected. I really wish I had pictures. But when I finally cover to look a little decent, I feel the need to add translucent powder and my finish powder. As soon as I do that BOOM  most of it slides off (-___-)
All In All: Would I purchase this again? NO. Even though this does not break me out it was disappointing that it could not cover my deep dark spots. I would return it, but I feel that I used to much. So I have to find another use to it. For now though, it ill be put away in the back far far away.

3) Third Stop: Pro Longwear Concealer: This is the ultimate love/hate relationship  product for me. I love the coverage, the consistency is okay, and it does cover my scars the best out of all three. With about two pumps, most of cheek scars are gone which is awesome. I tried it when I went to Grenada this August and my skin looked flawless and I used most of the product so that was a thumbs up. What I don't like is the smell. It favors a perfumed chemical which is disgusting but you get used to it. I also don't like the pump. It is very inconsistent. So sometimes it will give too much, too little, or the rare perfect amount.
All In All: Would I buy this product again? Yes. Because it gives me the coverage I need with about 1/12-2 pumps. All M.A.C needs to do is  change the smell and fix the pump and it will be the ultimate HG.

M.A.C. Ohhh M.A.C. You and I have such a love/hate relationship. Let's see if it will turn all love when I try your eyeshadows and lipsticks haha.

It's so funny because in my past Youtube video I HATED the Pro Longwear and lived for the Studio Finish. But look how the tables have turned..

What are you guys opinion on these concealers? Hit's or misses? Do share below I would love to know.
                                                                            Muah!! Love Always, Bri
